Public meeting aims to breathe new life into Bramley Park

People who use Bramley Park are being encouraged to attend a public meeting aimed at breathing new life into the popular parkland.

The meeting will discuss setting up a volunteer-led Friends of Bramley Park group to help improve and bring investment to the park. It’s hoped that the group would see park users help care for and improve the park and also attract additional funding.

The meeting has been set for Friday, 18 November at Fairfield Community Centre, from 5pm-6pm. It’s the idea of local resident Henry Kirby and Councillor Kevin Ritchie (Lab, Bramley & Stanningley).

Posting on Facebook, they said: “Bramley Park is a wonderful place at the heart of Bramley’s community.

“The past two years have shown how important access to parks and green spaces are, together we can work to make our park even better.

“Join us for a first meeting to discuss how we can improve the park through a “Friends of…” group, what that means, and how you can get involved!”
