Get on yer bike! A project to take old bicycles and transform them into new ones is relaunching soon at New Wortley Community Centre.
The bike shed project is run by skilled volunteers and, after a break, is relaunching its bike repair shed, bike library – where people can borrow bikes – a repair cafe and other projects coming soon at there centre, based at the bottom of Tong Road.
There will also be opportunities to talk to ride partners such as Cycle North, City Connect and Active Leeds. Refreshments will be available for 1-3pm on Thursday, 5 May.

Over the next two weeks New Wortley is hosting events about bringing people together to make positive change in the area.
The first Armley Community Voice Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 3 May from 6pm-7.15pm.
The group is open to anyone who lives, volunteers or works in Armley, and is passionate about making the area an even better place to live.
New Wortley Climate Change Volunteers will meet up on Thursday, 5 May from 10am-11am.
The meeting is aimed at people interested in volunteering to make changes in and around the centre.
Armley and New Wortley Climate Action Group meets Monday, 9 May 5.30pm-7pm and is an opportunity for people to get together to discuss how to combat climate change on a local level.
